YouTuber iAmRookie made the nearly 3-minute tribute video, and shared it on Reddit as a way to honor Captain America before Chris Evans possibly says goodbye to the role forever.

There's obviously been a lot of speculation about Captain America's future, specifically Chris Evans' future in the role as Steve Rogers. Based on MCU star contracts, it looked like he might hang up Cap's shield with Avengers 4, now known as Endgame. When he wrapped filming in October 2018, Chris Evans posted something that was read by many to mean he was done. The Russo Brothers followed by saying Evans was "not done yet," and that the audience would understand after the movie. But they do like to keep their secrets, and sometimes openly misdirect fans, so who knows.

Chris Evans was already part of the Marvel Comics family with the 2005 Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel. But he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Captain America: The First Avenger, which opened in 2011 as the fifth movie in the MCU. Evans returned as Steve Rogers in The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War. He also had some standout cameos, like those PSAs in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Chris Evans was originally contracted for six features, and that would've ended with Infinity War, but he signed on for Endgame, reportedly because it would wrap everything up. We know Avengers 4 is meant to shake up the MCU in a big way, beyond just for Chris Evans. Many early MCU stars may be joining him if he does indeed say a permanent goodbye with Endgame.

In the meantime, this fan video does beautifully highlight Steve Rogers' heroism and the tragic love story he shared (too briefly) with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell).

There are any number of fan theories on how Avengers: Endgame will play out, and how Captain America may or may not exit the story. If Chris Evans does leave, there's already speculation that Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) or Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) could pick up Cap's shield.

Answers -- and probably tears, and probably even more questions -- will come when Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters on April 26, as one of the many films worth checking out on the big screen in 2019. Keep up with all things MCU in our handy guide.

The Oscars Were Actually Better Without A Host

The biggest question going into the 2019 Academy Awards wasnt who would win any particular award, it was how well the show would work without a host. The show is now behind us and it has to be said that while the 2019 Oscars cant exactly be called smooth sailing, it all actually worked pretty well even though the ship had no captain.

A third of the total number of awards were presented in the first hour of the telecast, and the pace was pretty much kept up throughout. The broadcast wasnt quite nothing but awards either. That first hour gave us the rocking opening from Queen and we got some of the Best Picture presentations as well. We even got something resembling an opening monologue from Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Maya Rudolph.

Having said that, for the most part, the show really was a cruise from one award to the next, with little breaking things up. We got the Best Original Song nominees, four out of five anyway, performed, and that really was about the extent of the shows entertainment.

Gone were Chris Rocks man on the street interviews pointing out that the average movie fan doesnt pay attention to the Oscars, or Jimmy Kimmel diverting a tour bus full of people to the show. While I was fully expecting something along those lines to have been written into the show, it never happened.

Sometimes these comedy bits worked, and sometimes they didnt, but they always brought the show to a complete halt. The show just stopped moving so that the host could justify their existence.Without them, the broadcast never stopped moving. Even while some bits may have felt rushed or unrehearsed, they were over and we were on to the next thing before it ever bothered you.

This year, there were no host egos to get stroked, and so the awards telecast was able to focus on the actual awards.

Of course, the show still exceeded the goal of three-hour telecast, but it did a lot better than the nearly four-hour marathon last year. The fact that little more than the awards presentations happened is proof that such a goal is essentially impossible with a host under any circumstances.

The purpose of the Oscars is to honor filmmaking and by removing all distractions, the Oscars actually did that. Most of the winners actually were given time to talk and while some got interrupted by music before they were done, it certainly felt like that happened less often than in previous years.

With the show having now wrapped up, I certainly dont feel like it was any less entertaining than previous years. There were some upsets, there were some great speeches, and the awards werent swept by any one film, which means theres a good chance that whichever movie you were rooting for, it won something. This is why we watch.

A good host can certainly make his or her part of the show entertaining and fun, but its clear that the role simply isnt necessary. With a bit of practice, the show can streamline the rough parts of tonights broadcast and well end up with a great hostless show in the future.

Harry Potter Fans Have One Criticism For The Crimes Of Grindelwald Trailer

It's an exciting time for Harry Potter fans out there. In addition to the upcoming Broadway plays Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, J.K. Rowling is also hard at work with the Fantastic Beasts franchise. The first movie was very well received, with fans of the Wizarding World eager for any glimpses into its highly anticipated sequel. While the wait has been hard, the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald had recently arrived, and essentially broke the internet. The rabid fans were happy to finally see some footage, although the opening scene at Hogwarts raised some questions. When members of the Ministry arrived at Hogwarts to speak with Dumbledore (Jude Law), they were able to apparate into the castle. This goes against what Rowling had written in the books and the original film series, so fans quickly took to Twitter to voice their concern. Check it out.

This is just one of the many tweets which popped up in anger due to the use of apparition within Hogwarts' walls. And given the precedent set by the Harry Potter novels, the fans do have legs to stand on. It's public knowledge that no one can apparate within Hogwarts, including Albus Dumbledore. This helped keep the school safe, especially during the final battle for Hogwarts in The Deathly Hollows. Given how closely the fandom reads each page of the novels, the possible change in rules made the community very passionate.

Since this is just the first glimpse at The Crimes of Grindelwald, it's unclear if the use of apparition will end up becoming a plot point. It's plausible that some danger might enter the school, inspiring Dumbledore to attempt at making Hogwarts a bit safer. That's what one fan angrily tweeted out, while also taking jabs at comic book purists.

While tension may be high on both sides of the argument, the real important thing is that Harry Potter fans are going to be treated to yet another silver screen blockbuster. Some fans of the Wizarding World seem to understand that, and therefore tweeted responses to the trailer (and the use of apparition) with a bit more tongue and cheek. Perhaps the best of these comes from "Ron Weasley" himself.

That last tweet should be enough to get even the most hardcore Harry Potter purists out there chuckling. This line is a reference to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, where Uncle Vernon Dursley was attempting to keep Harry from finding his Hogwarts letter. It's a line uttered to perfection in the first film, and is a great way to keep things in perspective for the fandom.
