Someone Remade The Star Is Born Trailer With Muppets And Its Perfect

A Star is Born is a movie with a lot of buzz going into awards season, but that doesn't mean it can't be made better with Muppets. Everything is better with Muppets, and as proof, some insane genius has taken the audio track from the A Star is Born trailer and overlayed it on clips of the Muppets, specifically, with Bradley Cooper being played by Kermit the Frog, and looking even more handsome because of it, and of course, Miss Piggy as Lady Gaga. Check it out.

While Kermit the Frog sounding like Bradley Cooper and Piggy sounding like Gaga are pretty funny in their own right, the highlight of the trailer might be the opening when we realize the voiceover from Dave Chapelle is coming from Fozzie Bear. That's a little amazing and now I want more of it. It fits, Fozzie is Kermit's best friend, and in this case, both roles are being played by stand-up comedians. Most, if not all, of the clips, come from the 2011 movie The Muppets, which saw the characters coming out of retirement to put on a show in order to save their old theater. The plot is similar enough that the transition to A Star is Born works pretty well.

The post accompanying the trailer from comedian Kevin T. Porter jokes that this is yet another remake of A Star is Born. The film has been made three times before making this the fourth time the film about a past his prime musician finding a hot young talent and trying to make her a star. Every time the film has been made previously it's been a major awards contender and based on the buzz coming from the film today, that seems destined to happen once again. Of course, based on this trailer I feel like the film would have a better chance if the roles were all played by Muppets, but maybe that's just me.

While the future looks bright for Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, seeing this video makes one wonder exactly what is going on with the Muppets. Several months ago it was reported that Kermit and the gang could be coming back as a new series on Disney's upcoming streaming platform, though that has yet to be confirmed. The popular puppets have been on a sort of hiatus since The Muppets TV series was canceled, with their only recent original content coming in the form of a series of YouTube shorts. Based on the popularity of this video, it's safe to assume that the Muppets are still very popular, people wouldn't bother with this just to hear the audio track from the original trailer again, so hopefully, we will see them again sooner rather than later. If it happens to be in a parody of A Star is Born, that would be fine.

A Gynecologist Offered Her Take On Fifty Shades Of Grey's Ice Cream Scene

Fifty Shades Freed hit theaters this winter, and many of its biggest moments have already been discussed and dissected on the interwebs. We've talked about Ana's amazing wedding dress, as well as Red Room shenanigans, but there's one very memorable Fifty Shades Scene that wasn't broken down until a gynecologist got into the conversation. Recently, published author and Northwestern Medicine Center for Sexual Medicine and Menopause director Lauren Streicher was asked about Ana's health when she and Christian were getting kinky with some ice cream. If you've ever wondered if that's the sort of thing that is safe to try at home, Lauren Streicher, M.D., has a take. She said:

Let me start by saying that this has never been studied in any kind of a scientific study. But in general, we don't put food in the vagina. Theoretically, could that throw off her normal flora and cause an infection? Absolutely. It's sugar and milk, things that do not go in the vagina. But will that happen with a one-time thing? Who knows. The answer is: I don't know, but in general, I'd say don't put food in someone's vagina.

Fans of E.L. James' Fifty shades universe know a lot about "having fun, with food." In the books Christian and Ana get out a pint of vanilla Ben & Jerrys in Fifty Shades Darker. However, on the big screen, we had to wait for the third movie, Fifty Shades Freed, before Christian got his ice cream and Ana moment. Much of the ice cream was used on the outside of her body, but there is a moment when Christian licks ice cream off of his wife and then decides to go down on her (and later have sex on the table), in what I would presume would be a bit of a sticky mess in real life, and isn't being advised here.

In her interview with Vulture, Lauren Streicher also revealed that if Christian had taken things a step further and pushed the spoon into Ana, that would also not have been an activity the doctor would ever suggest.

Cutlery is not good in the vagina. Particularly knives and forks would be frowned upon. A spoon is a little different. If, for example, a gynecologist put a spoon in the vagina, that'd be fine, because we would know how to put a spoon in the vagina without causing an injury. As a sweeping generalization, I'd say cutlery would be frowned upon in the gynecologic world.

On the bright side, if you are one of the people in this population who is lactose intolerant, have ice cream thrust into your private parts wouldn't make you sick like ingesting ice cream would, so that's a real win. If you want to recreate your own fun with food, just remember that the Fifty Shades series is fiction, and use these handy guidelines to have fun in a way that won't cause you any problems down the road.

Awesome Doctor Strange Cosplay Brings His Cloak Of Levitation To Life

The Incredibles' Edna Mode might have made the case for why superheroes should ditch capes but she never said anything about a good old-fashioned cloak. Doctor Strange wears the Cloak of Levitation as a unique fashion statement, and it's also sort of his sidekick. A pair of cosplayers recently brought the dynamic between the two to life at this year's New York Comic Con. Check it out:

Magic and mysticism indeed! The fun Instagram video from @officialherohair has sibling cosplayers Bill Russell as Doctor Strange and Carolyn Michelle as the Cloak of Levitation getting into character and dazzling onlookers with their super convincing costumes of the Marvel characters. While the two pose as the unlikely duo, a young kid in the background excitedly yells "That's the Cloak of Levitation!," showing just how much the cosplay works.

Cosplayers are always putting their own spin on our favorite characters and surprising us with their creative choices, and this one completely defies expectations. Dressing up as a cape isn't your typical cosplay fare by any means, but it's a really fun choice that was certainly planned well and executed beautifully as well. I just hope the cosplayer figured out eye-holes for her costume, because floating blindly is a probably a capital crime in some realms.

2016's Doctor Strange introduced the Cloak of Levitation to moviegoers as a fashion statement with a personality and a bit of a mind of its own. It stole the show with its funny antics of playing backup for Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange and coming to life with its surprisingly emotional performance.

The Cloak of Levitation also made an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, but when Doctor Strange turned to dust along with half of humanity's population, so did the cloak. Considering the magical elements of the piece of clothing, it could be of some use to the Avengers depending on how things go when the movie comes out next year. While a sequel to Doctor Strange is reportedly in the works, due to the unsung fate of the Master of Mystic Arts, the studio is keeping it hush hush.

Doctor Strange did have quite the formidable role in Avengers: Infinity War, as he was the hero who saw the one way the Avengers could win against Thanos, leading him to make the decision to keep Tony Stark alive for the price of the Time Stone at Thanos' possession. The hero definitely brings a lot to the MCU considering he was the first to introduce magic to the universe, and that pesky time element that could play a huge role in Avengers 4, which comes to theaters on May 3, 2019.
