Is Thanos Stronger Than Hulk In Avengers: Infinity War? Heres What The Russos Say

If Thanos obtains all six Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War, he'll be able to wipe out half the universe with a snap of his fingers. But even without any of these multi-colored, powerful rocks, Thanos is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When it comes to brute strength, there are few who could match him, but one would imagine that The Hulk, the strongest being from Earth, could hold his own against the Mad Titan, right? Maybe, but judging by what Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo said when describing Thanos, it sounds like the villain would ultimately emerge triumphant from such a brawl. As Joe Russo explained:

I mean it's like death comes to call for the Avengers. This is a nearly unbeatable force who is determined to destroy half the life in the universe to bring it to balance. He sees it as an overgrown garden that he needs to prune. As you mentioned, he is fairly invincible He's a sort of genetic mutation who's the Genghis Khan of the universe. He's unbeatable on the battlefield, stronger than the Hulk, skin in invincible. So it's going to cost the Avengers something to defeat him.

While longtime Marvel fans have known for a while that Thanos wants the Infinity Stones so he can change reality as he sees fit, as far as the alien societies within the MCU are concerned, Thanos is best known as a warlord, going from planet to planet to wipe out out half of its inhabitants. One can't do that without being incredibly powerful. Hulk is obviously no pushover either, but as the Russos laid it out to HeyUGuys, if the Green Goliath and the Mad Titan crossed paths on the battlefield, the latter would be the victor. Plus, let's not forget that on top of his strength, Thanos is also a smart cookie. Even though Thor: Ragnarok gave us a Hulk who was more mentally developed compared to the earlier movies, he still came across as childish. So if necessary, Thanos could outthink his opponent to work his way to victory.

Thanos and Hulk have clashed several times in the comics, but it remains to be seen if the two will actually come to blows during Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, in addition to his natural abilities, Thanos (with the help of his minions, particularly The Black Order), will collect multiple Infinity Stones in the movie, so Hulk will be at even more of a disadvantage. That being said, since Thor: Ragnarok, Infinity War and Avengers 4 comprise a special trilogy for Hulk, don't expect him to be one of Infinity War's casualties... well, not a permanent one, anyway.

New Solo: A Star Wars Story Clip Shows Han Meeting Woody Harrelsons Character For The First Time

The new Star Wars movie may be called Solo, but it actually follows an entire team of characters, and a brand new clip shows the title character meeting some of them for the first time. Woody Harrelson was a recent guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he brought with him a scene in which Alden Ehrenreich's Han Solo comes across the characters played by Harrelson and Thandie Newton early in the film. The pair are casing a job when Solo figures out what they're up to, and tries to insert himself. Check it out.

The clip opens with Thandie Newton as Val and Woody Harrelson as Beckett who are checking something out just off-screen when they get approached by Han Solo. It looks like he has seen them previously, and they may have even spoken to each other, as the way Beckett addresses him, it sounds like Solo may have stuck his nose in their business earlier in this scene, but here, Han shows how much he knows, by pointing out the pair are not actually part of the Imperial army. He wants to join them, but their first instinct is to kill him, the only argument is over how.

Obviously, nobody breaks his neck here, so it would seem that he's able to provide something of value to them in helping them with their theft, which allows him to join there team. From there, one would guess he handles himself well enough that he is offered a spot on the big job that will be the core of the story.

From there, who knows? We know where Han Solo ends up eventually, there's an entire trilogy of movies that tell us that, but how he gets to that point is still largely a mystery. It's also possible that we won't even really get the entire story here, as Alden Ehrenreich recently confirmed this could be the first of more Han Solo movies to come, and based on the early ticket pre-sale numbers, there's a good chance that Solo: A Star Wars Story is going to be a huge box office hit, regardless of whether or not it's actually a good movie. Nobody has seen it yet so we're still waiting for the answer to that question.

Solo is the second Star Wars Story spinoff film following 2017's Rogue One. At this point, no other spinoff films have been officially announced. While many Star Wars projects are in the works,m including an entirely new trilogy from Rian Johnson, we don't know what Star Wars has in store for us next following Star Wars: Episode IX next year. With a year and a half to go until that final chapter, we'll just have Han Solo to keep us entertained until then.

Another Black Panther Actor Has Joined Jordan Peele's Next Movie Us

Having already proven himself a comedic talent time and time again on camera in projects like Mad TV, Key & Peele and Keanu, Jordan Peele has now stepped behind the camera to focus on his directing career. Last year, his directorial debut, Get Out, was not only met with critical acclaim and earned numerous accolades (including Peele winning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay), it also made over $255 million worldwide off a $4.5 million budget. Peele's next movie will be Us, and it's been confirmed that another Black Panther actor is joining the cast: Winston Duke, who played Jabari leader M'Baku.

Winston Duke confirmed that he's appearing in Us with the above Twitter post, and it sounds like he's excited to be working alongside Jordan Peele on what will be Duke's third movie. He will perform alongside Lupita Nyong'o, who played Nakia in Black Panther and confirmed her involvement in Us last month. Before Black Panther, Duke was arguably best known for his recurring role as Dominic/Mini in Person of Interest, and he'd also appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Messengers, Major Crimes and Modern Family. He also reprised M'Baku for Avengers: Infinity War, with the Jabari leader fighting alongside T'Challa, Okoye and Wakanda's other warriors to help the Avengers combat Thanos' forces. Duke was arguably the breakout star in Black Panther, so it will be interesting to see him lend his talents to Us, a movie that, while we don't know much about it, will almost certainly feel much different from a Marvel Cinematic Universe entry.

The only plot details that have been revealed so far about Us is that it will focus on two couples, one black and one white. Along with Winston Duke and Lupita Nyong'o, The Handmaid's Tale's Elisabeth Moss was said to be negotiations to join the movie, but we have yet to learn which actor is being looked at to round out this quartet. Along with both starring in Black Panther, Duke and Nyong'o attended the Yale Drama School together, so the two of them being more directly paired together will ideally be a treat. As was the case with Get Out, Us will be produced by Jason Blum, and given Blumhouse Productions' track record with horrors and thrillers, the next Jordan Peele picture will hopefully be another enjoyable theatrical experience, though I am curious how Us' more unnerving elements will compare to what Get Out offered.
