The Jurassic World 3 Storyline Blew Chris Pratt Away: 'You Will Not Be Disappointed'
Last year, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hit theaters and left fans with a doozy of a cliffhanger. Isla Nublar is gone and now the remaining dinosaurs are all roaming free on the mainland. Jurassic World 3 will presumably deal with the fallout of this, and show how humanity reacts to the real possibility of raptor attacks. Details on the film are slim, but Chris Pratt knows everything that's going to happen, and he's telling everyone to hold on to your butts.
I cant say anything, but I can tell you when I heard the pitch, I was blown away. I cant believe that were going to make that movie, and I cant believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Like, Wait what? The island has blown up. The animals are out, we cant put them back in the box. What are we going to do? How are not only these dinosaurs but this technology moving forward going to affect the planet? We jump forward, and its like, Oh! Oh, right! Oh, damn!its going to be pretty epic. ... You will not be disappointed.
While it didn't leave as much of an impression as the first film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom left its stamp on the franchise by blowing the door wide open for story possibilities in Jurassic World 3. We know very little about that movie, and we've still got two years before it's expected to arrive in theaters. Updates on the film are going to be slim for a while, but at least now we know more than that disappointing detail about downtown dinos.
In an interview with MTV News, Chris Pratt dropped what details he could about Jurassic World 3. Pratt obviously couldn't say much, but he was blown away by the script and the direction it took. The film will be just as epic as ever and fans won't be left disappointed by how it ends. Of course, it's kind of Pratt's job to hype up the film, but taken at face value, it sounds like fans have something to look forward to with this trilogy-capper.
One interesting tidbit that Chris Pratt drops is how the technology of Jurassic World has moved forward and how that has affected the planet. Said technology is likely the cloning process that brought the dinosaurs back from extinction. Fallen Kingdom showcased that cloning could be used on far more things than dinosaurs, successfully creating a human clone. I would imagine that will play a big part in Jurassic World 3.
Chris Pratt also said they "jump forward," which may be a hint to a fairly significant time jump, or that may be inferring too much from a comment about jumping into the third film.
We'll all just have to speculate on how Jurassic World 3 will end. The movie isn't scheduled to arrive in theaters until June 11, 2021. The good news is that there are lots of movies coming out before then and you can learn about them in our 2019 movie release guide.
